Op 10 augustus 2008 meerden we weer af in Hoorn. Voordat het zover was ontmoetten we Frits Smit en zijn gezin in Oostende, waar we de verjaardag van Marein's moeder Netty vierden.
	In tegenstelling tot onze heenreis tijdens de 'zomer' van 2007, troffen we op de terugweg wel de zon langs de Engelse Zuidkust. Vanaf de Solent voeren we samen met Guido de Kuyper en zijn gezin, die daar toevallig op vakantie waren met hun boot, de "Pesk Ebrel".
	Samen met Fleur hebben we vanuit Falmouth een week lang zonnig Cornwall verkend. Het was in Engeland weer even slikken vanwege de hoge prijzen en het alom aanwezige overgewicht.
	Tussen 6 en 15 juli staken we de laatste 1200 mijl van de Atlantische Oceaan over van São Miguel naar Engeland. We namen afscheid van het zorgeloze zeilen in de zon.
	In Ponta Delgada op São Miguel monsterde Fleur aan. Het eiland is al even prachtig als de overige Azoren. Op 5 juli 2008 werd de marina, waarin wij al een week lagen, op grootse wijze officieel geopend.
	Angra do Heroismo op het eiland Terceira is de mooiste stad van de Azoren. Terecht staat het op de UNESCO Wereld Erfgoed lijst. We lagen er van 20 tot en met 27 juni ten tijde van het S?o Jo?o festival.
	Voor zeilers, wandelaars, geologen, muurschilders en walvisliefhebbers zijn Faial en het ernaast gelegen Pico een groen paradijs middenin de blauwe oceaan.
	In konvooi met "Camelot", "Loesje" en "Flux" staken we in minder dan 13 dagen de Atlantische Oceaan over van Bermuda naar de Azoren: Terug in Europa!

	Van 13 tot en met 20 mei hebben we door 'de driehoek' naar Bermuda gezeild; geen Passaat meer, maar depressies. Daar kwam de halve Nederlandse vertrekkersvloot uit verschillende richtingen bijeen.
	Saba is de hoogste, mooiste en minst toegankelijke gemeente van het Nederlandse koninkrijk. We hebben Tjeerd en Jolien er tijdens hun duikvakantie vandaan geplukt. Gezamenlijk hebben we Anguilla nog bezocht.
	St. Barthelemy en St. Maarten zijn eigenlijk maar lelijk, droog, toeristisch en laag. De vele restaurants, reusachtige supermarkten en goede technische jacht faciliteiten maakten het toch een aantrekkelijke bestemming.
	Barbuda verraste ons met het mooiste strand van de Carieb, het meest turqouise water en is het ongerepte eiland.
	Van 13 tot en met 23 april 2008 genoten we van de 'Antiqua Classic Yacht Regattta' en de sfeer rondom English Harbour op Antigua.
	Op Guadeloupe vierden we Annemijn's verjaardag en voeren we voor het eerst dwars door een eiland heen in plaats van eromheen.
	We hadden verwacht dit jaar meer internationaal bezoek op deze website te krijgen. Vandaar dat de voertaal tot hier Engels was. Om de laatste maanden van onze reis makkelijker en sneller bij te kunnen werken, wordt de voertaal vanaf hier Nederlands.
	We expected to receive more international visitors on this website. Hence we used the English language until here. To allow for easier and faster updates during the last months of our trip, we will continue in Dutch.
	From April 1st until 7th we explored the Iles des Saintes, a group of small, dry, and steep islands with a Breton fishing village and numerous white beaches.
	Wedged in between the French West Indies, is a totally different island: rural and unspoiled Dominica, the 'nature island'.
	After months of deserted beaches and raw nature, we had a breath of European civilization again on Martinique from March 12th until 27th.
	Being spoiled by the enchanting Grenadines, we didn't spend more than a week sailing north along the leeward coast of the much larger islands St. Vincent and St. Lucia.
	Between February 21st and March 4th we visited the northern Grenadines, Bequia and Mustique. Although only 8 miles apart, they are very different from each other.
	We spent 2 weeks cruising the crown jewels of the Caribbean, the Grenadines: Petit St. Vincent, Union Island, Mayreau, the Tobago Cays, and Canouan.
	From February 6th until 11th we visited Carriacou and Petite Martinique, just north of Grenada, where Marinda's mother Floor joined us.
	On January 24th, 2008 we arrived on the 'spice isle' Grenada to reunite with the crews of "Delicate Dawn" and "Mumtaz".
	We spent 5 days on Tobago, before we sailed on to Trinidad for a haul-out at one of the many boatyards in the tropical rainforest of Chaguaramas.
	On December 27th, 2007 we arrived on Barbados to relax after 3 weeks of watchkeeping routine and to celebrate New Year's Eve with the crew of "Zeester".
	Between December 6th and 27th we crossed the Atlantic from Tenerife to Barbados, the'Milk Run'.
	On November 4th we arrived on Tenerife, where we met several friends/family and prepared for the Atlantic crossing.
	From Madeira we sailed to La Sociedad on Isla Graciosa, the small sandy island just north of Lanzarote.
	October 25th, 2007: "Zee van Tijd" publishes in Zilt Magazine!
	On October 7th we left the European continent for the Madeira archipel.
	In September 2007 we descended the west coast of Portugal from the Rio Minho to Lisbon.
	After crossing the Bay of Biscay we spent some time in Coruna to repair the transmission, celebrate anniversaries and get used to a new 'cruising' lifestyle in the Rias Bajas in August 2007.
